Heather is the founder and creator of The Music Hub.
Heather has over thirty years’ experience teaching all ages and abilities. She also has experience teaching neurodivergent students with ADHD, Autism, and Dyslexia. Heather is an adjunct professor of music theory and appreciation and Appalachian State University, a collaborative pianist and composer. She has accompanied numerous choral groups and soloists, played in chamber music ensembles and musical theater pits, and her compositions have been played at many festivals throughout the United States, recorded on internationally renowned record labels, and placed in the top four in several national and international competitions.
Heather graduated from the Appalachian State University with a master’s degree in music composition and is the pianist at St. Luke’s United Methodist Church in Hickory, NC. In her free time, she loves reading, being outdoors and practicing herbalism.
Through her work as a composer, teacher, collaborative pianist, and church musician, Heather celebrates the communal and cultural aspects of music and is committed to bringing musicians and community members together through a range of musical experiences accessible to all people.
